All Dyer Kickers Volunteers are required to pass a background check. For this check, please select "Indiana" and "Coach" for the State and Registration Type. When asked, our club is "NWISL-Dyer Kickers SC". All background checks go directly to SAY Soccer. Dyer Kickers can only confirm if coaches have completed this is via the 6 digit confirmation code.
Due annually every fall. If you completed in spring, you will have to re-submit for fall

Concussion Training
HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training (~30 minute video)

HEADS UP Concussion in Youth Sports is a free, online course available to coaches, parents, and others helping to keep athletes safe from concussion. It features interviews with leading experts, dynamic graphics and interactive exercises, and compelling storytelling to help you recognize a concussion and know how to respond if you think that your athlete might have a concussion.
Concussion Training is valid for 3 years (a future update will require training every 2 years)
If you are new to CDC Train you will need to create an account in order to Launch the Training for Coaches.
Once you complete the training and quiz, print out the certificate and submit it to [email protected]
-First you need to create an account with CDC Train
-Click On NON Profit Organization (non healthcare)
-Confirm your choices and the CDC will send you a link to your email to confirm your email. Once you do that it will take you to the CDC website.
-Click on HEADS UP to Youth Sports: Online Training For Coaches
-Click on the Green Pre Assessment Button: There will be a short pre-assessment, then the training, and then a post Quiz
-Please send certificates to [email protected] (we can not check the CDC website to see if you have completed)
SafeSport Training
Safesport: Online Training (~90 minute video)
Preventing abuse in sport begins with awareness and how to recognize the red flags of emotional, physical and sexual misconduct, and then what to do if abuse does occur. The online 90-minute SafeSport core course covers the following topics in-depth and provides a pre-and post-testing component:
- Mandatory Reporting
- Sexual Misconduct Awareness Education
- Emotional and Physical Misconduct
Safesport CORE Training is valid for 5 years. Safesport Refresher Training needs to be completed yearly
-You must first create an account using your email name and age. Verify your email address.
-Once you get to the Say Soccer page click on Safesport
-Once complete you will get a certificate and an USSF-ID number
TroubleShooting
-Safesport can not be done on a phone, or if your computer doesn't allow popups, or certain browsers. So if you continue to have trouble this could be the cause.
-If you are not seeing a button that says START SAFESPORT that is because you may be missing details on your profile page. Click on the button that says complete profile and add the necessary details (usually city and state) and then you should be able to begin your Safesport test.
-If you get a message saying: WE ARE AWAITING THE RECIPT OF YOUR ENROLLMENT DATA, you just need to wait 15 minutes and then try again. If you continue to see this there will be an area where you can contact a safesport administrator.
-If you have taken safesport already then you can take the refresher classes listed below (introduction to safe and healthy playing environment etc) You only ever have to COMPLETE PHASE 1

Begin Cardiac Arrest Training
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the number one cause of death in the United States for student-athletes during exercise.
This course will help you learn and recognize the warning signs and symptoms of Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
Also included are guidelines for what to do in the critical moments after an individual suddenly collapses in order to save their life, such as calling 9-1-1, starting chest compressions and sending for an AED.
Cardiac Arrest Training is mandatory for rec plus coaches and must be completed every 2 years (NWISL will be updating this to annually in the future)-First you need to create an account at www.NFHSlearn.com
-You can search for Sudden Cardiac Arrest or scroll through courses for coaches until you see Sudden Cardiac Arrest
-Click on the training and enter your state (Indiana) and the red button that says START LEARNING
-You may need to verify your email address
-Once training is completed please email a copy of your certificate to
